THE ASK
The Regional Transit Authority—which oversees CTA, Metra and Pace—wanted to improve how transit information is delivered to millions of riders. The goal was to make information clearer, more accessible and more accurate, while addressing diverse rider needs across every phase of the journey.
WHAT WE DID
In partnership with engineering firm HNTB, we developed a rider matrix to guide recruitment and engage real users on their trips. Interactive tools like a “Rider Passport” enhanced participation, culminating in a report that earned the Best Practice Award from the Illinois Chapter of the American Planning Association.
