THE ASK
The Logan Square neighborhood in Chicago has undergone massive changes over the past few years. As the area became more popular and congested, the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) launched a study to find ways to make North Milwaukee Avenue—the neighborhood’s primary artery—more user-friendly.
WHAT WE DID
We partnered with CDOT to engage the public and identify improvements for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. We developed multilingual materials for the area’s diverse residents and managed public meetings for community members to provide input. In the end, this award-winning work helped CDOT select roadway, sidewalk and bike lane designs informed by the community’s needs.
