Alejandro knows communications, but more importantly knows how to get the job done.

As an editor and newspaper man covering the Hispanic community for over 20 years, Alejandro has interviewed numerous leading Latin Americans including Mexican President Vicente Fox, Cuban President Fidel Castro, Chilean President Patricio Alwyn and Nobel Peace laureate Rigoberta Menchú. This background allows him to provide our clients with a unique perspective on planning and executing strategy, outreach, content development and media relation efforts within the Hispanic community. But as a former editor of Chicago’s largest Hispanic daily (Tribune’s Hoy), Alejandro gained another very special talent – the ability to get things done, on time every time. At Blue Daring he is responsible for bringing together our clients’ expectations, our talented staff and expert contractors to ensure goals are met and clients happy. When he’s not focused on project plans, Alejandro works with Melissa to develop relationships; both to generate business and add value to our current clients.

Alejandro continues to feed his passion for journalism as an Hispanic issues columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times. His weekly column appears every Thursday.

Escalona has a B.A. in Spanish literature from Northeastern Illinois University and he pursued graduated coursework in Spanish literature at Loyola University of Chicago.
