We are looking for an experienced brand designer to concept and design brands and visually communicate big ideas that help the people we serve articulate their core value, connect authentically with their audiences, launch new ventures and position themselves strategically in the market.
This is a Chicago-based position. You will work from the office 3 days per week.
WE WANT YOU TO
- have at least 3 concrete and defined experiences where you concepted a new brand entirely from scratch and then designed the visual identity system to support it
- be a conceptual thinker; someone who can be inspired by big ideas and use them to story-tell and inform their brand designs
- have 5-10 years of solid design experience in both print and web
- understand and have examples of navigating brand hierarchy
- have experience in the B2B and/or social impact sectors (preferred, not mandatory)
- have at least two comprehensive examples of developing brand standards and identity systems
- have the ability to move easily between brands
- have 2-3 proven examples of thinking strategically about design
- have experience creating dynamic PPT presentations that demonstrate a strong ability to synthesize and articulate complex ideas through visual storytelling
- demonstrate strong layout and design skills (long-format publications, one-sheeters, etc.)
- have 2-3 examples of proficiency creating vector graphics (infographics, icons, etc.)
- be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD primarily), with a basic understanding of CSS/HTML (the digital landscape), any proficiency in AfterEffects or PremierPro a plus
- demonstrate expertise in print production (gathering quotes, selecting paper, various print techniques, etc.)
- be fast-working, well-spoken, professional, dependable, and highly-collaborative
