Mayra gets things done

Mayra Garcia Guzmán is Blue Daring’s project manager. As a skilled relationship builder she works with people to make projects come to life. These skills supplement her strong content expertise in supplier diversity, government relations, community relations, business development and procurement.

With over 10 years of experience in the state, local government, and not-for-profit sector, Mayra has created expansion opportunities for small and local business and through her work in supplier diversity. Mayra has led the Business Enterprise Program at the State of Illinois’ Central Management Services and created the supplier diversity program for the Chicago Transit Authority. Mayra prides herself on creating business opportunities that expand the representation of minority and women business enterprises in diverse fields as well as local communities.

Mayra received her Bachelors Degree from Loyola University Chicago and lives in Pilsen with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoys baking cookies of all kinds, working on her garden and teaching herself French.
